The purpose of GPRA is to hold Federal agencies accountable for achieving program results and initiate program performance reform through a series of pilot projects in setting program goals, measuring program performance against those goals, and reporting publicly on their progress. The PART was developed to assess and improve program performance so that the Federal government can achieve better results. This presentation explores the strategic planning approach of agencies, annual performance plans and reports, and how it relates to real-time data analysis.
